YŪGEN Golf ("the app") turns your golf practice into a progression game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account — a user identifier from Sign in with Apple, Google, or email. If you use email we store your email address.
- Practice content you add — screenshots, photos, plotted shots, entered numbers, round results, and voice notes ("evidence"), plus your display name, home club and handicap if you enter them.
- Progression — XP, levels, skills, achievements, quests, streaks, challenge scores and leaderboard entries derived from your evidence.
- Device — a push notification token (if you enable notifications) and your timezone (to keep streaks on your local day).
- Diagnostics — anonymous, aggregated usage analytics and crash reports to keep the app stable and understand which features are used.
How your evidence is processed by AI
Screenshots, photos and voice notes you submit are sent to Google Gemini via Google Cloud Vertex AI to read the content (e.g. distances from a launch monitor) and produce an interpretation. Processing happens in Google Cloud. Deterministic evidence (plotted shots, entered numbers, rounds) is not sent to AI.
Where your data lives
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage) with EU data residency (europe-west1 / eur3). Media you upload is private to your account.
What is shared
Your display name, avatar, rank and progression appear on leaderboards and, if your feed visibility is Public, on the activity feed to other signed-in users. You can set your feed to Private in Settings. Your uploaded media and private notes are never shown to other users.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account (this removes your profile, evidence, media, achievements and leaderboard entries). For any request (access, export, correction) email support@soyugen.com. EU/EEA users have rights under the GDPR.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
Changes
We will update this page and the date above when the policy changes.
